When God came...

All fresh and ready to face OA, I stepped out of my room and went straight to Angel’s. I peeked inside and she was still sleeping. I decided to go to the Earthlings Information Center. On my way, I found a young girl.

“Excuse me, would you be kind enough to tell me where the meeting with OA will take place.” I asked her.

“Sure Sir, it would be under the tree near the gate to PTI on the surface.” She said and smiled and walked away.

“Great thanks” I said and went to PTO.

I reached the surface and it was day now. I wanted to spend some time with myself, so did not wait for Angel or Sir Lemo or anyone else to escort me. I just went near the trunk and sat there resting my back with the tree and wondering, “Why God…Why?”

I was more serious today and felt like a new employee in a company who has just been introduced to his new co-workers and now awaits the arrival of his reporting manager and the CEO to tell him his work. And the best part is, I had been selected for this job without my consent and without the knowledge of my compensation. My earlier job was much much better, living with parents, self employed, working from home on my eCommerce website, eating what I want, sleeping when I want and doing what I want. And again the same question, “Why God…Why?” I was still not able to completely come to terms with reality; felt sad, worried, anxious, afraid, down, alone, bashed up, torn, frustrated and many more things. These feelings, mixed with memories of my life on earth made my eyes close and take my mind to a sub-conscious state.

Dint knew for how long I was in that state but some whispers and talks around me bought me back to my normal self. I opened my eyes and could see the sun rays falling on me, coming through the gaps in between people standing around me. A good crowd had gathered and everyone was busy talking to each other. I tried to stand up and a hand came forward to help me.

“Thank You Angel.” I said looking at the hand as I held it and stood up.

“How did you know it was me?”

“I only know that you will always be there to help me.” I said with a smile and then a wink.

She seemed pleased and then with a disheartened voice said, “Not always my hero.”

“Angel, what is it that is behind that statement? Last night also, you were hiding some thing. I need to know it now.” I demanded.

“It’s almost time for you to get your answer. Get ready, OA will be here any time.” And as soon as her statement ended, I again heard the sound “Woosh, toin, blop” and a figure appeared in front of the crowd. It wasn’t the Windows Office Assistant this time, but just looked like us, wearing the same type of clothes.

Everyone bowed down in front of him, except me. Angel pulled my hand and asked me to bow as well.

“Sorry OA, but my head bows down only in front of God. Though you too are a part of him but I am still not very sure about it. I hope you don’t mind.” I shouted so that OA could hear me. I was standing towards the end of the crowd and OA was at a good distance from me.

A voice from the crowd replied back, “He might not mind, but we do.” Then OA intervened, “It’s absolutely fine. We can understand your situation. Now all may rise.”

“Gurpreet, since you are the protagonist here I would request you to please come forward.” OA said. I held Angel’s hand and started walking with her. Only one step had we taken together when OA again spoke, “Alone please.” Angel quickly freed her hand and moved back.

I was surely not on good terms with OA now. I made my way through the crowd. OA came forward and shook my hand. It was a nice gesture and I obliged. He then addressed the crowd,

“So the inhabitants of NASA, how has the last day been with a living being from another planet?”

Everyone started clapping which I was told meant that everyone here welcomed me. It bought a smile on my face and I started to clap as well giving them the message that I too welcomed them in my life.

“That’s great. Now let me tell you that God will be present physically today here in front of all of you.” This statement too was welcomed with claps all over.

“Now Mr Gurpreet, you have been asking a lot of relevant questions from the darling of this group, Angel, which she has not been able to answer and rightly so. She does not possess enough knowledge to explain you the reasons behind the actions of God and neither do I. Only and only the supreme master of all knows when, what and why of his doings. So I would ask you to get ready for the moment of your life which you will cherish forever. God will be here to address all your queries and let everyone else know what is up his sleeve.” He then paused a bit.

“God is present within and among us. See him walking through the crowd.” And he pointed his finger to a woman walking amongst everyone towards me.

“Gosh! She was standing ahead of me a few minutes back. And I never knew God is a woman.”  I exclaimed to OA.

“God is neither man nor woman. God is universally present in everything. God just takes any form.” Said OA and moved back to let God take his place. 

Very true..why do we always assume God as man when God is universally present in everything???
