Yes, we needed to calm down. We needed to think.
“Ok, firstly how does life start? Its when a man and woman
have ….” And Jerry interrupted me.
“Oh shut up Tom! Life is not only in mankind, life is also
there in plants, trees, animals, insects etc. We need to figure out what is
already present on this place. We need to explore it. We must be sure what all
can sustain on this planet.”
“You are right Jerry! And did you notice one thing; we are
able to breathe easily. Oxygen is available in abundance here. It would have
been hard without it…I cant even imagine oxygen in my I2C.”
“Yeah, right! Now shall we start our journey or do you wish
to wait for day light to guide us. It seems it is night here.” Said Jerry.
“I wish to go ahead, this torch will guide us. Let’s hold
hands and march. And whenever you feel hungry or tired let me know. We would
use the I2C.”
And so we decided to move in one direction. It was just
randomly selected. I was holding the torch in one hand and Jerry’s hand in the
other. The I2C was with Jerry. The bright yellow light was falling on the
cracked land in front of us. It seemed there was a drought here and the sharp
rays from the sun had cracked up the fields. But God said, sun will not be
here. Then what were these cracks about. We continued walking.
There was no trace of water to be found, no plants no trees.
Just plain land. The cracked surface got over and some rocky surface started.
Our foot kept hitting small stones and rocks. We had walked quite long now.
“Im getting tired Tom. Need some refreshment now. I think we
should take a break.” Jerry said.
“Yup! So what would you like to have Madame?”
“Oh, an apple pie would do for me. And Gatorade to go along
it.” She said casually.
“Do you also have Gatorade on NASA?” I asked surprised.
“You dumb head, you forgot that we both would have the same
knowledge. Now order fast. Or let me imagine my own meal on I2C.” and she took
the I2C back from me.
And within seconds, her apple pie and Gatorade were in front
of her. “Your turn Tom.”
I just thought to myself, can I order anything??? I had once
seen and read about the most expensive sundae served at Serendipity 3 in
Manhattan, NY. I don’t remember its name but I could imagine it. It had
Madagascar vanilla beans with cocoa chunks from the Venezuelan coast. Toppings
included candy from Paris-based Fauchon and a trio of infused caviars: passion
fruit, orange, Armagnac and all covered in gold. The whole thing was presented
in a Baccarat bowl with a gold spoon. And Ah!, there it was on the screen. I
quickly created it and the bowl was in my hand.
“That’s called stupendous.”
Jerry was actually staring at my sundae and then looked at her pie.
“Even I want that.” She said like a child.
“Let me feast on it first.” And I took the golden spoon and dig
it in the bowl.
It made the sound of metal hitting a metal. I tried again
and the spoon won’t go past the gold layer.
“Oh my! This is hard gold on my sundae. It was supposed to
be edible gold leaf. Why did the I2C get it wrong?”
Jerry had the answer, “Maybe you just imagined gold cover
and not edible gold leaf cover. I2C just reads our mind; it doesn’t know what
the actual thing is. It doesn’t have its own brain. Remember GIGO – Garbage In
Garbage Out.”
At that moment I realized, nothing has the capacity to
understand what is right what is wrong and what is good what is bad. Only the
human mind can do it. And that’s what I had to use here to create a world. I2C was
only a means, the real power was in the mind.
